Senator Cayetano vs. Edgar Matobato
Controversy on who, how the hell did this Edgar Matobato get in as the state witness in the Senate Hearing on probe on Extra Judicial Killings dated September 15, 2016 .
Like really? Lets look on the facts here:
Edgar Matobato claims on
Being in or with police officers in Davao, he calls "Lambada Boys/ Davao Death Squad", an alleged vigilante squad.
He claims on being very guilty for all the killings that happened in Davao that he claims were at least 1,000 from 1988 to 2013
Claims to have only finished Grade 1
Claims that he does not have a cellphone, or even have TV or newspapers nearby.
Lets see what people think about this in Twitter.
I mean, I may be rampling here, but a lot of things are very off about this guy.
Matobato says that they tape their victims with masking tape, and when asked what a masking tape is by Sen Cayetano, he could not even answer which one is a masking tape when presented with different kinds of tapes.
Is this a guy who claims to have killed a lot of people? okay, let alone claims to have been in the law enforcement for years? Binding people with masking tape? Come on?!!
Given Cayetano may have reacted a bit childish to Trillanes ( Trillanes was turning off Cayetanos microphone) but let's not forget what facts he has established. People don't forget what came out of his questions:
He very well established that this state witness cannot answer to simple questions like "Paano ba kayo nagkakilala? Sino ang unang lumapit sa inyo? Ikaw ba ang nilapitan ko ikaw ang lumapit?" These questions does not even pinpoint anyone, yet the witness keeps saying "Hindi ko man alam na yan ser"
In other words, Sen Cayetano, has established that, at ta-Tagalugin ko na, Kapag tanong tungkol sa kung paano sya napunta sa senate hearing, hindi nya masagot, pero kapag tungkol sa mga alleged killings ng DDS, kung makapag kwento sya wagas.
Madami pang ipinunto si Sen Cayetano. So dapat bang maniwala ang mga tao sa allegations netong Edgar Matobato na to, dahil lang guilty sya? At wala man lang syang supporting evidence.
Plus, gusto pa ni delima sa executive senate hearing na lang daw , para maging at east tong si Matobato. Like why??? Kung walang itinatago, at tunay na guilty, ilabas na yan.! Sa PUBLIC senate hearing dapat!
